Here are a few of our commonly asked questions about ASG Communications:
Answer:YES! We sure do! We handle any low-voltage cabling. Phone jacks, CATV outlets and runs, computer jacks, etc.
Answer: You bet. We'll start be isolating the problem from the Demarc and work from there.
Answer: Yes. We accept most major credit cards. We also accept paypal.
Answer: We charge $70/hour, and pro-rate in half hour increments after the first hour. There is a one-way dispatch fee of $35 within the Metro Okc area. Print the coupon from the first page of our website, so we can take 10% off you first time doing business with us.
Answer: Yes, we handle all fiber optic cabling issues.
Answer: In short, "call unity" is a term used to define convergence of voicemail and email services. For example, someone calls your extension, you're not at your desk, they leave a voicemail, you're voicemail also gets sent into your email as a .wav file so that you can play it back while looking through your email. This helps keep you from having to go back and forth between the phone and PC checking messages. Since most smartphones allow you to check email now, you can get your voicemail on the go while out of the office.
Answer: This allows your extension to follow you while away from your office. If someone calls and you're not in the office, then you can set up your extension to call your work or personal cell. (most common setup) If you don't want to answer the call, no worries, the caller will be redirected back into your voicemail on the phone system and you can return their message at your convenience.
Answer: The maximum distance for ethernet cabling in a LAN is typically 325' end-to-end. Anything over this distance will cause delay, noise, and a number of other issues with your data transfer. Anything over this distance requires fiber optic cabling which can be run very long distances with no data attenuation or other problems. The most cost effective way to add fiber to a pre-existing LAN is to install the fiber and install media converters for each end of the cabling run.
Answer: Not at all. Hey, we like Netflix too! :)
Answer: If using our Cloud-based solution, then it is 2 minimum. If Panasonic or Yeastar, then 3. If you want to provide your own phones that you bought from the store then we can install those as well. Office Depot or other similar stores sale small business phone systems too.
Answer: Honestly, I don't feel there's anything wrong with them, but you do have to have special knowledge to get them up and running. Also, alot of the systems I've seen come with pre-cut and pre-terminated cable which are typically only 50' or so. Most times you have to have specialty tools and also, in the state of OK, you're supposed to be licensed by the Alarm and Locksmith licensing divsion with the State Health Dept., which we are.
